    Lisardo Martinez
    Dr. Lisardo Martinez is a life-long animal lover, much influenced by his father, also a veterinarian. He grew up in Miami, graduating from Southwest Miami High School. He attended the University of Florida from which he graduated with High Honors in 1982. After graduation, he practiced in group practices in Miami until starting Westbird Animal Hospital in 1987. Over the years he has had the privilege, responsibility, and blessing of sharing in that special bond which exists between his clients and their pets.

    Guevara-Nieveen
    Dr. Guevara-Nieveen stepped into the field of veterinary medicine at the age of 16 when she underwent a medical externship program in veterinary medicine in high school. She went on to graduate from the University of Miami with a bachelor’s in Biology and a minor in mathematics. While at UM, she helped start the first pre-vet society alongside other students.
